    Show Day 1 detail

Touch down in Venice airport, meet your host and transfer one hour north to the Agriturismo La Bella, nestled in the foothills of the idyllic Prosecco Hills. Despite being awarded UNESCO status in 2019, this area remains off the radar for many (opens in new tab) and is a world away from busy Venice, preserving a special and authentic rural charm. Relax into the serene surroundings before meeting up with your fellow adventurers and your guide for a chat about the next few days. Join your agriturismo's host and chef, Elisa, for a short stroll around the farm, before tucking into an organic farm-to-table dinner expertly cooked by her. Set in for a good night's sleep ahead of the explorations starting tomorrow.

    Day 2

Hike terraced vineyards and taste the bubbles

    Agriturismo
    Twin share
    Breakfast and lunch included
    Show Day 2 detail

Your first hike starts right from your doorstep, leading towards one of the most charming corners of the Prosecco Hills. Follow a gravel path which climbs to the top of San Gallo Hill, once the site of a medieval castle, then head deeper into the iconic terraced hills, with scenic views of green valleys dotted with little villages at your feet. You'll stop for lunch in a panoramic spot, where you'll meet a renowned local wine producer who will guide you through the history and the wine-growing traditions of this rich landscape. Enjoy a delicious light lunch paired with some of the best Prosecco varieties of the area, before heading back to your agriturismo in the afternoon. Tonight you may join your guide and group for another great dinner experience in a local restaurant in the nearby village of Follina.

    Day 3

Cycle rolling hills, lakes and quaint hamlets

    Show Day 3 detail

Hang up your boots this morning, as you'll leave the agriturismo on the saddle of your e-bike instead, cycling quiet back roads to the ancient mill of Molinetto della Croda, a lovely example of 16th-century rustic architecture hidden away in an idyllic spot. From here, tackle a 4km steep climb to the enchanting hilltop hamlet of Rolle, but thanks to your e-bike the ascent will feel smooth and manageable! Pedal along, surrounded by lush hills that open up to breathtaking panoramic views, before freewheeling down to the shores of Revine Lake for a picnic, a well-earned rest and a cool swim (optional; in season). Continue via the charming villages of Cison di Valmarino and Follina and finish with an exciting ride up and down the winding roads of Combai, before returning to your agriturismo in the afternoon. Tonight, you may choose to refuel with some well-deserved pizza and an Aperol spritz with your group!

    Day 4

Into the heart of the Prosecco Hills

    Agriturismo

    Show Day 4 detail

Fuel up on breakfast then take a short morning transfer to the little village of Santo Stefano, an important local wine-making centre. Next, set off on foot climbing to the village hillside which is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site, venturing deeper through lines of endlless vineyards and soaking up the stunning views of the Piave River and Montello Hill on one side, Valdobbiadene and the rising Prealps on the other. Stop for refreshments at Osteria Senz’Oste – a restored three-storey farmhouse, built at the end of the nineteenth century, which offers arguably the most stunning view over the Prosecco Hills of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene. For lunch, you'll be welcomed by Pietrovecchio Winery, where you'll enjoy an indulgent wine-tasting session before being transferred back to your hotel.

    Day 5

High views and meadows of the Prealps

On your final you'll enjoy a change of scenery as you head high above the Prosecco Hills, hitting some stunning trails in the Prealps up the slopes of Mount Cesen (1400m). Hike through alpine pastures and meadows, with incredible views that on a clear day stretch as far as the eastern Alps, Dolomites and Venice. Tonight, you'll toast to the end of your epic adventure with more bubbles, and savour some traditional Venetian dishes in a renowned historic restaurant in the area. Cheers!

Trip level explained

Level 2

Easy-Moderate

Anyone in good health, with avarage fitness levels and able to hike for a few hours each day will be fine on this trip. The elevation gain is easy to moderate, up to 500m up and down each day, with some short, steep ascents and undulating routes which will get the heart pumping at times. However, the going is leisurely with plenty of stops to enjoy the views. The terrain and path type will vary from paved tracks to forest trails and dirt roads. The trip also includes a scenic ride on e-bikes – bicycles with battery-powered assistance that comes via pedalling. The route will include some steep uphill sections, winding roads and easy gravel paths, but your e-bike will give you an extra push if you struggle with the climbs so you should find it easier than expected! No previous experience is needed, but you must feel comfortable on two wheels.

Please note that heatwaves and heavy rains are possible (especially during the summer months of Jul-Aug) so the overall weather conditions may increase the intensity of the trip. If you don't exercise regularly or you don't have much experience with hillwalking, please consider factoring in some training beforehand to make the experience more enjoyable.

What will I need to carry?

You'll need to have a larger bag suitable for all your belongings which will remain at the agriturismo and then a small daysack to carry personal items during each day of hiking.

Climate Factors To Consider

This trip visits locations where daytime temperatures can be extremely high during the times of year when this trip operates. High humidity and limited access to shade can also be factors, and warm temperatures can continue into the nighttime, which additionally influence the body’s ability to cool down. Personal care should be taken to keep as cool as possible in the conditions, such as wearing appropriate clothing and proper hydration. Very high temperatures can impair an individual’s physical abilities to perform an activity that they may otherwise be able to do competently at cooler temperatures. People may experience symptoms associated with dehydration and Heat Stroke (opens in new tab). Your guide(s) are trained to mitigate the risks associated with high temperatures, by carefully managing the intensity of the activity, and to provide the appropriate support response should someone feel ill during the trip. Should you experience health issues during your trip you should inform your guide immediately so the proper care can be provided.

We had a great time in the Prosecco Hills Biking and Hiking - Our guide Vania made the trip she was so patient, informative and had a great sense of humour she read the group so well.

  • Sapphron T.

Everything was just perfect. Vania our guide was lovely & excellent. The accommodation was lovely. The staff were friendly and attentive. Food was delicious. The hikes were lovely (not too hard). The bikes supplied were great. Maurizio the cycle guide was lovely. A perfect intro to Italy.

  • Suzie S.

This trip set the bar high. We had the best tour guide ever in Marta. By the end she felt like family and we made her an honorary cousin. She showed and taught us so many amazing things in the prosecco hills area and introduced us to some amazing people and wine. La Bella was an incredible place to stay, bringing us closer to the local vibe and food. I can not say enough great things about Elisa, Neila, and Aurora who plied us with food and drink and a great overall stay. I appreciated the agriturism and use of local products. Enjoyed all the hikes and ebikiking. One thing I will stress is make sure you bring padded bike shorts, they will enhance your e biking experience and are not to be ignored on the kit list. Hands down best experience ever.

Amazing trip! Beautiful scenery, thoroughly enjoyed the walking and the prosecco tasting and met a really nice group of people. Our guide Vania was lovely and made the trip very enjoyable. Would thoroughly recommend.

We loved our week in Italys beautiful Prosecco Hills. This trip far exceeded our expectations. We loved the rustic but comfortable farmhouse where we stayed. It had a patio that became a regular gathering space for our group and the staff at the Farmhouse were so helpful and really met our every need. The itinerary was perfect -beautiful hikes that were just the right length (5-6 miles) and a bike ride through the vineyards. We loved the stops at cafes for a coffee or a gelato during our excursions making the hikes a nice easy pace and enabling us to thoroughly enjoy this lovely and authentic area of Italy. The group we were part of was such a fun and like minded group of people that it really contributed to an already great week! And we cannot say enough about Vania, who was our host and guide for the week. She created a perfect itinerary and was fun and friendly and knowledgeable about the area and its culture. I hope to do another trip with Much Better Adventures soon!

I loved every minute of this trip! Vania, our tour guide was fantastic and took us on a fun (but challenging) hike through the beautiful Prosecco Vineyards of Italy. Each day was an adventure. Vania organized all outings, including food and drinks and even the weather expertly! This is a beautiful area of Italy and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic Italian experience!

We had a fantastic few days in the Prosecco hills - Vania our guide was super knowledgable and couldn’t have made everyone feel more at ease, she was lovely. The hike through the vineyards to the Prosecco vending machine on a hill was a highlight I will never forget! Only suggestion would be maybe two days walking and two days e-biking which was great fun and a brilliant way to see more of the region - the whole trip was challenging but rewarding, would definitely recommend

As a group of 4 middle aged women on our first adventure holiday we had a fantastic time. It was definitely a lot harder than we all expected. This is why we gave ourselves a day off on the last hike. The spa was calling us. Vania was absolutely amazing, she is a credit to your organisation. She’s funny, warm and gorgeous. X

Our Hike and eBike in the Prosecco Hills with Much Better Adventures guide Marta Pelle was well organized and so much fun. Our guide was well-prepared and her itinerary of hikes, rides, vineyards, wineries and restaurants was excellent. Our farm stay, Agriturismo La Bella Follina, was comfortable and well-situated and our chef and owner, Elisa, prepared wonderful meals for us. Our group of 12 was very friendly and compatible. I would definitely take a trip with Much Better Adventures again.

Our cousins group from Canada enjoyed every facet of this Adventure. With the FANTASTICO Marta (honorary cousin) leading/teaching, we learned so much about Italy, history, and (most importantly) Prosecco! The food was amazing, the company was awesome, and Italy was fantastic! A big thanks as well to Elisa(Agriturismo La Bella), Maurizio(RideAlone), and Laura(Pietrovecchio)!

This was a truly fantastic experience. All parts of the trip from the accommodations, meals, and adventures were so satisfying. Marta was awesome, she was such a great leader and kept us informed and on time as well as was a wonderful person to get to know. I would absolutely recommend getting to explore the region on foot and on bike.
  • Go on - just book it!!!

    Gilly October 2026
This was my first guided walking trip, and I hesitated for a long time before booking. I initially booked as a solo traveller, but got cold feet and in the end a friend joined me on the trip. While it was lovely to have a friend with me, I really needn’t have worried about going alone. From the very start, the group were friendly and welcoming. We were a great mix of people, mostly women (with two men), aged roughly 49–65, and everyone was incredibly friendly and supportive. We all had a great time together. The walks were fantastic, with a few sharp uphill sections but nothing too difficult. Vania, our AMAZING guide, was incredibly patient and encouraging throughout. For those who occasionally wanted a slightly easier option, she was always on hand to guide them and give clear instructions. More often than not, though, the whole group simply took their time and waited for those who found some of the ups and downs a little more challenging. The scenery was fabulous, and the Prosecco and wine tasting were equally amazing! The e-biking day was just spectacular with lots of laughs along the way. Vania was not only incredibly knowledgeable and informative about the area and Prosecco, but also great fun, with a wonderful sense of humour and excellent English. She really helped to make the whole experience so enjoyable. La Bella Agritourismo where we stayed was just perfect – in a lovely setting, fabulous homemade food and the well-stocked honestly fridge was the icing on the cake. I dread to think how many bottles of Prosecco our group consumed during the few days!!!! A huge thank you to Vania, who was utterly superb, to all at La Bella Agritourismo who made us all feel so welcome and fed us so well and to my fellow travellers, for all the laughs and encouragement along the way. I came away wondering why I had ever been so nervous about booking a guided walking holiday — I would definitely do it again!
  • Fantastic trip, surpassed all expectations

    Ellen H. October 2026
What a wonderful trip exploring the Prosecco Hills. A stunning landscape we explored with ease and so many laughs led by our superb tour guide Vania. From the beautiful walks, prosecco tasting, delicious home cooked & home sourced food at the agritourism to the exhilarating bike ride into the hills (whoosh!) and the stunning last night dinner and wine tasting, this was a trip that surpassed our expectations in every way. Huge thanks to all the staff at the La Bella Agritourism (the prosecco fridge was so appreciated!) and to our fantastic group, such great fun. And to Vania, our guide who’s knowledge, humour and company made this trip so memorable.
  • Prosecco Hills-Drink it in!

    Heather O. October 2026
We had a fun adventure in the Prosecco Hills. The tour was exceptional! The sequence of activities, food, and accommodation were first rate. However, it was the kindness our our guide Marta and the wonderful group of people we share this tour with that really made this experience shine!( A Prosecco vending machine didn’t hurt either. 😊)

  • Spectacularly scenic!

    Patricia C. October 2026
NIcely curated tour - from the spectacularly scenic trails to the included dinners. High quality food and drink (Prosecco!) from mostly regional sources. Our guide, Vania, a local from the area and very well educated. She was especially delightful! We couldn’t get enough of this area. My favorite was the e-biking day which left us wanting more- this itinerary would benefit from one more day of e-biking with Mauritzio!
  • The first but definitely not the last!

    Jo W. September 2026
We had never booked a group adventure holiday before, now I'm left wondering why we didn't do it earlier. The trip was perfectly described, managed, hosted and guided. Marta was incredibly knowledgeable, and her passion for the region and its wildlife and culture was clear to see. These trips aren't cheap, but you do get what you pay for and the quality of accommodation, transport, food, prosecco tastings and guidance were actually amazing value for money, and surpassed our expectations. We came home with a glow about us, having made some amazing friends and laughed more that we had for years (proper belly laughing on an almost daily basis!). Thank you MBA for introducing us to challenge holidays, we are now looking to book the next one 😉
  • It's a Wonderful Time

    Tena C. September 2026
What a wonderful way to experience Italy's Prosecco Hills. Our hikes and e-bikes took us through vineyards and villages, with lovely views around every bend. It was the perfect mix of fresh air, adventure, and time to experience the beauty of our surroundings. Our tour guide, Marta, was exceptional in all ways. And this tour group was full of laughter and camaraderie; joking, encouraging, taking photos for all and finishing each day feeling happy and energized. I would gladly do this again!
  • Should I book this trip? 100% yes you should!

What a great trip we had. The accommodation was spot on, the hikes were amazing with wonderful views. I loved the e-biking though for those who don’t cycle very often padded shorts are a must! So much food and prosecco/wine is included in the trip and all of it was wonderful. Marta was such a great guide, very informative and great company as was everybody else on the trip, my goodness we laughed. I 100% recommend!

Had a great time on our tour! Our guide, Marta, was awesome and very knowledgeable. Two of the days we got bad weather and were unable to do our full itinerary, but we were able to substitute with another beautiful hike elsewhere and even a beer brewery tour. The area is beautiful and the farmhouse was cute. I cannot wait to do another one!

We had an amazing time. Everything was well organised and Martha, our guide, was so knowledgeable and so passionate about everything. The hikes were challenging at times, but well worth it for the stunning scenery. I loved our day on the E-Bike and thoroughly enjoyed having a swim at the lake to cool off. The accommodation was clean and comfortable. Elise and her team made us feel welcome and the food was delicious. The three nights we ate at restaurants chosen by Martha were all amazing. We had a fantastic group and we thoroughly enjoyed their company and didn’t stop laughing, apart from when tasting the delicious Prosecco! Thank you Martha and MBA, we will definitely be looking at more adventures with you.

I have nothing but praise for Marta. She was infinitely patient with a very lively group. She was a super guide. Had so much knowledge about the area. Accommodation was great. The food at the Agriturismo was exceptional. All the food locations on the trip were brilliant. The hikes were very challenging at times. Prosecco country is very hilly! But at no time did you feel you were rushed. It was a great trip.

I honestly cannot say enough wonderful things about this MBA trip. From the very first communication before we even arrived, MBA and Marta thought of everything. Every pickup, shuttle, transfer, meeting time, and detail was seamless. I never once had to wonder what was happening next. We simply got to enjoy the experience. . . And what an experience it was. MBA & Marta created an itinerary that was incredibly thoughtful and personal. From our morning meeting time to the beautiful agriturismo and the wonderful relationship she has cultivated with La Bella, it was clear that this was much more than a planned tour. It felt like we were being welcomed into a place Marta genuinely loves and has spent years getting to know. Every detail was considered. The breakfasts were amazing and somehow managed to accommodate everyone's different tastes and preferences. The bikes and gear were excellent, the hike and bike routes were beautiful, and the pace and difficulty were perfectly balanced for the different abilities within our group. Whether we were riding through breathtaking countryside, exploring historic places, visiting wineries, or sitting down for incredible meals, everything felt effortless. One of my favorite parts was how much we learned along the way. Marta didn't just lead us from one place to another—she brought the history, culture, food, wine, and landscape to life. She had a story, a connection, or a piece of history to share at seemingly every stop. And then there was the people. Everywhere we went, we were welcomed like family. The relationships MBA and Marta has built with the wineries, restaurants, and local hosts were evident everywhere we went. We weren't treated like tourists passing through; we were genuinely welcomed. By the end of the trip, the people we had met felt like old friends. Our group size was also perfect. It was small enough to feel personal and connected, but large enough to create a wonderful sense of camaraderie. We laughed, ate, rode, learned, celebrated, and became fast friends. Looking back at the photos, what stands out to me isn't just how beautiful Italy was—and it was incredibly beautiful—but how much joy is in every picture. The food, the wine, the bikes, the landscapes, the history, the laughter, and most of all, the people. Marta didn't miss a beat. This was one of those rare trips where everything was so thoughtfully planned that you could completely let go, be present, and enjoy every moment. I would do this trip again in a heartbeat and would recommend it without hesitation to anyone looking for an unforgettable hiking, cycling, food, wine, and cultural experience. Absolutely spectacular from beginning to end!
  • Thank you Much Better Adventures

Thank you Much Better Adventures for the incredible experience. Everything was so well organised and thought of. I met the most incredible bunch of individuals, lots of Prosecco, laughter and fresh air! What better medicine can one ask for? I walked away a few friends richer!! If only the vineyards & trees could talk with the conversations we had. Our guide Martha who lead & guided us over the few days hiking & e-biking made sure we were always looked after in every way possible. Food & drink always flowing and nothing was ever an effort. We had 2 challenging days with thunder & lightning where our hiking routes were not possible. Martha very quickly had alternative plans & routes in place! I can highly recommend the Hiking & e-biking in the Prosecco Hills (Italy)!! First solo & MBA trip, definitely not the last!!

She loves the challenge of finding the best local adventure hosts around the world, collaborating on adventures that offer genuine immersion, pushing beyond the beaten path and working on exclusive itineraries that challenge your comfort zone.

The tap water is safe to drink. Please bring along your own reusable water bottle to fill up at the agriturismo or public fountains to avoid buying single use plastic bottles.

If bad weather affects any of the activities your local guide will deviate to a more sheltered part of the hills for alternative hikes, or may decide to swap around the order of the program.

This trip operates in areas where daytime temperatures can reach extreme highs, where limited shade and high humidity can also be a factor. These conditions can affect physical performance and increase the risk of dehydration or heat-related illness. Your guide will adjust the pace and monitor the group closely, but hydration, proper clothing, and sun protection are essential.

Before travelling, consider your ability to be active in high temperatures and consult a medical professional if you have concerns – especially if you have any cardiovascular or heat-sensitive conditions. Arriving a day or two prior to the trip may help you adjust gradually to the heat.

Sure can! Over 70% of our travellers travel solo, it’s a great way to meet like-minded people.

During springtime between April and May the Prosecco Hills region usually enjoys mild temperatures averaging 18-23°C, although nights are always a bit cooler. The summer months tend to be hot and humid, with temperatures in July-August going up to 30-35°C. Although hiking will feel a bit more challenging due to the sun, this is when the landscape is the greenest and lushest, with vines in full bloom just before their September harvest. In October, temperatures are still very pleasant for walking, with trees starting to dress with spectacular colours from dark green to yellow. In summary, every season is great to visit the Prosecco Hills, with the only exception of winter when harsh freezing temperatures make hiking less favourable and the landscape quite bare.

Rain is possible at any time of year and climate change has made seasons a little more unpredictable (opens in new tab) than usual. Occasionally, summer storms with heavy rain and strong winds can occur. Take layered clothing to adjust to the changing temperatures and something warm for the cooler evenings if travelling in spring and autumn.

We partner with the World Land Trust to ensure this trip achieves Net-Zero emissions. We also support their Buy an Acre programme, helping local communities to buy and protect natural habitats in perpetuity.

What's the number?
It works out on average at 164kg of CO2 emissions per person, including all local transport, accommodation, food, activities, guides, staff and office operations.

The only thing it doesn’t include right now is flights and travel to the destination. We do make an overall estimate across all our customers separately, but as we don’t book flights, have customers from all corners of the world, and no way of reliably knowing their travel plans, we simply can’t include an individual number in the figure on display here. We’ve got a goal to fix that, so that when you book, there is a way to measure and mitigate the carbon emitted by your flight too.

But what does the number mean?
Yep, hard to picture eh? To give you an idea:

  • Driving 1000 miles/1609km would be approximately 281kg of CO2 in an average car (or 140.5kg per person, if there were two of you in it).
  • A return economy class flight between London and New York would be approximately 1619kg (1.66 tonnes) per person.
  • 10 trees in a temperate forest are estimated to remove approximately 250kg of CO2 from the air in a period of 5-10 years.

What are we doing about it?
Our trips are relatively low-carbon by design, and we're working with all our hosts to develop long term carbon reduction plans. We partner with the World Land Trust (opens in new tab) to ensure this trip achieves Net-Zero emissions. We also support their Buy an Acre (opens in new tab) programme, helping local communities to buy and protect natural habitats in perpetuity, ensuring the protection of the reserve and its wildlife.

Want to know more?
Amazingly, no international travel company has ever publicly published their carbon measurements before, as far as we know. We believe that must change, quickly. So we’re openly sharing the method we used in the hope that other companies will be able to more easily follow suit and build on what we've done so far. You'll find it all here (opens in new tab).
